7 Series - G11 / G12 (2016 - current)
The next generation G11/G12 BMW 7 Series flagship forum. Unveiled June 10th, with production starting in August the 6th generation 7 Series comes in a light weight package with extensive use of BMW i carbon fiber technology. The interior quality raises the bar with a touch screen and gesture controlled infotainment system. Exterior styling has been a sticking point with mixed reviews so far.

Software Update 2016 750

Hello, I checked my software on my BMW and against bmw.com/update and it seems way off. The version on my car seems to be way newer. Should I even try to update of leave it alone?

I got an update from the dealership and the current version is TB/MB-006.032.012 . I would have the dealership update it.

The update is for the phone system. If the version in your car is later than what is on line, if my memory is right you will get a message that your system is already up to date.

The software for the Idrive needs a dealer for updating.

Correct, on both counts. When the dealers program the car, it often loads newer phone(media interface, or KISU) software in the car than is available online. So if your car has a higher version, it won't take the older version.

All the USB update does is newer bluetooth and USB compatibility fixes, doesn't add or remove features to the iDrive system.
