7 Series - G11 / G12 (2016 - current)
The next generation G11/G12 BMW 7 Series flagship forum. Unveiled June 10th, with production starting in August the 6th generation 7 Series comes in a light weight package with extensive use of BMW i carbon fiber technology. The interior quality raises the bar with a touch screen and gesture controlled infotainment system. Exterior styling has been a sticking point with mixed reviews so far.

Beep and warning at every intersection

Anyone know how to shut this off? I think I have disabled every feature on the menu, yet it still yells at me at every crossroads, stop light, red light, etc.

It's not in the PDC menus, go to Vehicle Settings and look for "Automatic PDC activation" in one of the menus. I'm surprised that you are getting PDC warnings when stopping behind other cars though, this has never been an issue for me in any of the loaners that I've had.

BTW, I was surprised to see all of that condensation on the HVAC vents, but then I saw your location was Texas. Must be super humid there during the summer.

Hey Robin!

I got it off, I turned off all the features inside the button next to the hazard lights except for blind spot for now. It no long beeps at me at a intersection. I will slowly turn them back on one by one as I learn what they all do.

Yes I live in Houston, super humid. I think that picture was taken at 9PM at night, with AC on full blast. That will def make everything sweat!

Thanks again for the help! I got a SUPER SUPER clean 16 750i

That's still kind of odd though, it seems more to me like a sensor may be on the fritz. You might want to take it back to the dealer and have them take a look to see if there is something wrong with the forward-facing cameras or radar sensor.

I plan to take it in for a oil change tomorrow. I will play with it before I do. I washed everything real good today, need to try it all again and adjust sensitivity.

I can figure these systems out, but man when driving it home for the first time and its yelling at you I just wanted it off for the time being. lol

The car is still under warranty for 10 months so I am not overly concerned.

It only happened at intersections, which makes me think more its a sensitivity setting than a sensor? Maybe I am wrong. It wasn't like it was beeping driving down the road or highway, just when things/objects were surrounding it...

You're sure it's the parking sensors, or something else like frontal collision warning? If it's parking sensors, it should not be affected by any of the settings for the Intelligent Safety button (that's the one next to the hazard lights). However, if it's opening the PDC view, then that's almost certainly the automatic PDC activation triggering.

The trigger for automatic PDC activation is speed less than 4 km/h (2.5 MPH) and object closer than 0.6 m (2 ft) from the front. How much space are you leaving in front of your car?

When its going off at the intersections its the PDC, I am pretty sure, because I have that off now and it doesnt do it anymore. Parking sensors still go off, when pulling in/out of garage, which I am OK with....

Oh and you asked about how much space I was leaving with PDC, lots, as there were no cars!!! lol

This makes my theory about a bad sensor more likely. If it's always detecting something, then the system will turn on when speed gets below the 2.5 MPH threshold.

Have the dealer check the sensors, they can read out the distances from each sensor and there's probably one in the front with a very low reading.

Will do, thank you for the input! other than that, this car seems flawless!
