7 Series - G11 / G12 (2016 - current)
The next generation G11/G12 BMW 7 Series flagship forum. Unveiled June 10th, with production starting in August the 6th generation 7 Series comes in a light weight package with extensive use of BMW i carbon fiber technology. The interior quality raises the bar with a touch screen and gesture controlled infotainment system. Exterior styling has been a sticking point with mixed reviews so far.

2016+ Auto stop start

If you push the button to disable, is it remembered from then on? i.e. do not have to press it every time you start the vehicle.

If you code it, it will remember your setting. I did this with the Bimmercode app and bluetooth dongle on my 2016 750i as well as my 2012 528i.

This is the ideal dongle you'd want to buy in order to modify every option possible via the app:

A dongle like this will allow you to program the auto stop/start but not some of the other options:

Ahh OK thank you, I actually already own the OBDLink! I use it for same type of thing in Ford vehicles.

My previous 2016 750 remembered the selection. However, I just picked up a 2020 740 and itís no longer the case. I have to disable the option every time I start the car.

As far as I know 2016 still is available for the "memory" (our older car) and my new 2019 does not. Bimmercode will fix it all though.

I don't have an auto start/stop button in my '18 B7. I don't miss it either.
