2014 750 Li Air Conditioning Not Working

Has anyone had an issue with their AC? I got into the car today and the AC is not blowing cold. Yesterday it was working, but there was a funny smell coming through the vents. Anyone have a similar issue and know the cause?? Thanks.

Only time I had an AC problem in 2013 was when i bought it. Bought the car in the winter and didn't use AC...when it got hot I tried to use it and it didn't work Took it to the dealer and they said a stone kicked up and pierced the condenser on the radiator. They wouldn't cover the repair under warranty because it was a stone or some type of debris and it was several months after I bought the car. They ended up splitting the repair with me, If I remember correctly my portion was about $300.

The condenser is in a terrible location on these cars and what happened to mine apparently happens quite often.

If you know someone with some gauges, have them take a look? Is the AC hot all over, or just one side? Another problem could be the heater valve has failed, that is why you need to know if the AC system has any pressure on it.

This is a very common problem. A local BMW Dealer here in Dallas charged $1200 to fix this issue (stone hit the condenser)

Dealer found a leak in the condenser. They replaced it under my extended warranty. Out of pocket for the $50 deductible. I feel lucky they didn't try to blame the leak on a road hazard such as a rock hitting the condenser. They didn't say where the leak was, and I thought it best not to ask questions since it was covered.
