wait for 2012???

If you had the option of $6000 off a 2011 or $1500 off a 2012 which would you take. Both brand new same options, yes I would have to wait for the '12.

from what I hear, the 2012 will be 2" longer.........not sure of the other differences, maybe someone else can chime in...........but $6000 off a 2011, not a bad deal......................

Not a bad deal...if you want to be making payments on a vehicle that is no longer in production within months of taking delivery.

Somones going to rationalize by saying the whole 'first car, 1st year' crap, that's what a warranty is for. I think I heard that from a 335 owner.

2" longer? So what?! Get a 1er if you want a small and sporty 'enthusiast' car.

I already made my choice and it is awesome! No regrets what so ever. Since almost no one has one, my DSB 335d with ZSP (no other BMW has those wheels) will stand out to those in the know. It stood out at the Welt in Munich as about a dozen guys oogled it as I was installing the car seat after picking it up from the valet.

The E90 will age well as all 3 series BMWs have. Seriously have you ever looked at a well maintained E30, E36, E46, or E90 (the eyebrows on the pre-LCI E90 not withstanding) and not thought it still looked great?

In AZ I see a dozen E30 and E36 and many more E46-E90 on the road every day and they almost always get a second look from me. I saw a red E30 318is at the mall yesterday and stopped to admire it.

Yah, im on the sidelines- trying to decide what to do. Im not planning on breaking the bank and buying a new BMW, but im the type to wait and buy a CPO thats 2 years old with 20K miles or less..so now with all the 2012 new gen talk im thinking twice about buying a 2010/2011 335 or was also thinking about a 2009 M3 sedan for $45K... dont want to buy if in a few years I can get a 2012 F30..what do you guys think?

A car is an expense, not an investment. The key is to find what you want and minimize the hit to your wallet. It doesn't sound like you're hurting for a car, so I would wait and compare them side by side. Then you can make an informed choice when it comes time to part with the dough.

Is the 12 worth $4500.00 more to you than the 11. I agree with the above, if it is 6k off of MSRP, just go with an ED on a 12. If it is 6k off invoice, that might be worth it. N4S

I'd totally go for the 2012. No way would I get a brand new car when the new model is like months away. If you're worried about saving, honestly, at this price point - why? You'll save an extra $20-$30/month maybe? That's equates to what? 10-20 minutes of working at the office? No brainer IMO.

I agree. Resale will be stronger on the 2012 - figure the whole cost of ownership including resale.

Feb 2012 is like, seconds away my friend. You have the opportunity to wait and test drive both at that time. I'd wait.

Lol now that the specs are out, I'd definitely wait for F30. You'll get significant boost in performance and a significantly reduced fuel consump. Win win Besides, the e90 is pretty ugly.
