hi guys. thank u for looking at my post i really need some assisting with my bmw car.

so i just bought my first car from an lady and it was a good deal. but i wanted to fit in with my friends who already have cars so i popped the hood and opened it all the way up. It didnt have much oil in it:

so i went and got some bullseye motor oil since i heard it was good and it was cheap in the store
after driving the car for about 1 hour i had heard bad noises so i opened the hood back up and there was some oil over the engine so i cleaned it but i left a bit to show you what i meaned

is there such thing as too much oil? because i only filled it to the top of the hole but i dont think theres any custom oils space adders on it so it shouldnt be bad righht?

You filled it to the top of what hole? By the looks of the oil cap and inside engine seems the owner didnít do proper maintenance.

idk it was a old lady she said it was ok but i just filled the oil up to the top of the hole so i wouldnt have to worry about it

What hole though? You didnít fill it to the top of the engine did you?

It absolutely is. Iím finding it hard to believe you filled it all the way up to the oil cap. How many qts of oil did you use?

Qts is quarts. You said you put in two bottles but how much fluid was in the bottle. Was it two one quart bottles or two 5 qt bottles?

i mean there was about half in the first bottle and the second bottle was full. i think they were 4L bottles

Too much oil. Check the dipstick. If no dipstick, check the monitor. If you can't verify what you have in there, get an oil change done by a reputable shop (not a jiffy lube). I use Liqui Moly and Mann filters. Do it now. Too much oil will do a job on your engine

No one said you're a failure. You just failed to do the easiest thing there is to do on a car properly. It's ok let your engine suffocate.

thats really ****ing dumb, how could bmw fail at making their own ****ing engine??? if theres room, you should be able to fill it, wtf??? make it smaller if it doesnt need that much room bmw u dumb ass company
