Sound coming right rear area of trunk area, Suspension probably?

Car is a 535 Xi 2013 model with 76k miles now

Hi, Do you guys know if the sound from the rear is suspension problem, and what specific part could be making the sound.

I found this video on youtube from another driver, and that's exactly the noise I get when I climb over bumps or potholes . The crazy thing is, I haven't driven the car in 3 days until today, and the sound disappeared, though I have a feeling it will come back soon. I would love it if I can pin point the problem so I don't have to pay mechanic for troubleshooting process

Loose battery? Bad struts?

Very similar to what i've had for weeks and finally repaired it. See the link to my new vid below.

First, though, be sure it is your front or rear strut (my video is for the rear). Couple ways to do it. Go at low speed 10-15mph and make a few VERY sharp turns left and right (quick left, quick right, immediately one after the other). If you have a noise when turning left (like me) it is your rear strut, and vice versa.

You can also lift up the car and listen - my shock was making the same noise when i lifted the rear wheel up (although NOT always so take that with the grain of salt). Test above is more reliable.

BUT I sorta agree with the first poster, it sorta sounds like this could be your front strut/shock, not rear.... But perform the same tests to verify.

..

The rear strut/shock tops are under the rear parcel shelf speakers. Check out yogi's rear strut DIY video to see exactly where. There could be movement here, or sound conducted to that location. I'm not commenting on whether it's front or rear - that should be easy to figure out though some assistant listeners may be required.

Check rear coil springs could be broken causing excessive movement and your noises

Thanks for the replies, I had this issue for like 5 days straight, but for some reasons I haven't been able to replicate the issues my last 3 days of driving. Kind of weird.
Anyways I took the car to the dealership, and they said the Thrust Arm bushings are torn and leaking. Maybe that's the problem or maybe its an additional issue I have.
