Amplifier Install Question for the DIYers - 2004 325i, Non HK System

So I recently swapped out my Biz CD for a Kenwood, and what a nice difference that makes sound-wise! Also really nice to have Bluetooth etc,. Now I want to add some low end oomph and bought a small subwoofer. I've already got an older Alpine amp that I'm going to use, but am having trouble finding any threads or videos on the wiring to the HU for the signal and turn on wires. Is it as simple as running these wires under the right floorboards and maybe under the dash? Not sure where the battery line runs but I don't know if it's advisable to put those all together or not, I'm thinking there might be some unwanted alternator sound or whatever. It's been a LONG time since I've installed an amp and I want to be clean about it. TIA all!

Mein Auto:
Where will you mount the sub amp? Power for the amp needs to come directly from the battery. BMW did us audio mod’ers a favor by adding a lug with a nut on the red positive battery cable. I’d run the power for the sub amp from that lug. Do not use the battery’s black ground/earth/negative post fir ground as you’ll get a huge amount of electrical noise. Ground the amp at the audio ground lug forward and above the factory amp’s location.

Does the sub amp take line level (aka RCA) signals or speaker level signals? Is the sub amp designed to power just subs or is it a full audio range amp? I ask as if the amp is a full audio range amp you’ll need to install electronic components to block higher audio frequencies. Why? Sub woofers don’t like higher frequencies.

The turn on wire in my departed 2001 330Ci was cream/off white in color.

Hey thanks for that info! No idea where I plan on mounting it. It's a monoblock amp.
