Buying a new on the lot '19 in 2020 - What to consider?

I found an X7, 50i MY 2019 that's available for sale. I reached out to the dealer and it looks like the car is still available.

The BMW VIN decoder checks out.

Since the car has been sitting on the lot since March 2019... what should I be mindful of? I am seriously considering this car.

Is there anything on the back end that a CA on this forum can help me check to make sure nothing is fishy?

Thanks!

Ask them to deliver it with a new battery.

Ask if the vehicle has been "punched" and if so, the in-service date. The warranty clock starts running on the date the vehicle was punched. Get the answer in writing / via email.

Also ask if Sales Support still applies to this vehicle, unless you are paying cash.

I would ask for a free oil change as part of the deal and have it done before delivery. Throughly go over the car and make sure there's no scratches or cosmetic issues. It's been sitting on the lot for over a year.

I would also check the tires (has the car been sitting in one place all this time?). I would also want all the fluids changed. Most of them are on a time or distance model and you are already one year into time.

I'd be more concerned with bird poop and contaminants etching the paint than with scratches. I would want the car clayed / paint corrected, and insist on inspecting the finished product prior to taking delivery.

Tires will definitely be flat spotted... I bought a 640i 2014 thAt had sat for nearly 24 months. Dealer had to replace all four run flats to solve problem of perceptible vibrations .
