was finally able to buy a 1995 BMW series 5 525i sedan 4d and I love the look of the car (it's green***x1f64c;***x1f3fe;***x1f60dit's also in really great shape under the hood and elsewhere. The car does need a rebuilt transmission and I'm willing to pay for it to be rebuilt, but I did call this dealer to see if they could do it the guy on the phone kept asking how much it's worth because it might not be worth the trouble, I insisted with the guy it doesn't matter what it's worth????? I would like to have it to drive I don't care about the worth. So my question is does the worth mean anything if you just want to drive the car yourself and get it fixed for personal use? Thank you for your time, very excited about my BMW***x263a;***xfe0f;

At some point it does but until that point it doesn't. You might be better off at a transmission shop. I suspect that the dealership doesn't do transmission rebuilds but merely subs them out and then adds profit on top of the charge.
