Spare Wheel

I am heading far west NSW and into South Australia and didn't want the risk of only run flats, so wanted to buy a spare wheel (and tyre) for the trip. BMW tell me the part is Ex. Germany with a 15 working day lead time. Throw in Easter and that could be quite a while. Are there any other sources such as wreckers that members may know of ?

In the US, ECS Tuning and Bimmerzone sell assembled spares and jack kits.

I bought my spare on Bimmerzone: BIM-SST-E84-KIT BMW X1 E84 (2008-2015) Spare Tire Kit (Emergency Space Saver)

I don't carry it around Seattle, but I do when I'm taking a big road trip. South Australia sounds like a big road trip -- I'm jealous! I was down in Sydney and Melbourne for the fifth time this past January, and I just love it there. One of these days, I'd love to do a big road trip around your country!
