Original equip parts can be a bit more expensive but lots of BMW parts stores offer discounts to BMWCCA members, Mann is an OEM too. Hengst makes good filter products.
Sometimes - ya gotta look - a Fram boxed filter for BMWs will actually be a BMW/OEM filter. Years ago I found some great 'deals' on oil and fuel filters for my 1986 TurboDiesel by buying Fram filters on sale knowing that in the box was a filter marked with the BMW logo and part number!!
Since you're using AMSoil, you can look up the Mann filter number on the AMSoil website and buy it from your AMSOil dealer. Or you can mail order it from an on-line supplier.
