Issues?

Was looking over on Bimmerpost and it seems a lot of people are having some serious issues with their G05 X5s. Is that a confirmation bias due to the forums, or have people here been having issues. Was considering ordering when the M50i was available, not sure now.

There seems to be a lot of issues but I personally think it is confirmation bias, you used to see the same thing here when this site was much more active.

Even taking the bias into consideration there are very few issues being reported with the G05. There have been a few with some serious issues but those are few and far between. Most people complain about CarPlay and bluetooth connections and those should be handle with the major update that is coming out this month. You have to make your own decision but it certainly wouldn't alter my thinking on it.

That is what I am thinking. Also lookin at a Cayenne, not sure it is worth the extra $15,000-20,000.

I'll add my two cents. I too have seen a lot of the angst on Bimmerpost regarding the G05. I placed an order for a new G05 last month and took delivery this past Saturday and have been very happy so far. The only issues that I have had so far have been minor and I'm not sure they were issues with the car itself. The first was that my sales advisor couldn't get the ESA to process at the time of delivery, but by mid-afternoon, I have received a confirmation email from BMWConnectedDrive and was able to complete the "add profile" process at that point. The second issue that I had I think was likely an issue that was related to my use of Apple Car Play (coupled with the fact that I am running the Beta version of iOS 13 on my iPhone). I was on a call when I parked the car and shut it off and switched over to the handset to continue my call as I walked into my office. When I came back out to go to lunch, my phone reconnected and I tried to listen to a podcast on Apple Car Play and there was no audio. When I adjusted the volume, the display indicated that I was trying to change the phone call volume. I turned iDrive off and turned it back on and it started working again.

All in all, the first few days have been pretty smooth with my new G05.
