7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

Undervoltage and communication issues between the Kombi and other modules.
What are the symptoms?

It just goes into a reduced engine power mode. It won't accelerate like normal. Also after replacing battery due to the old one not holding a charge. This new one does not hold a charge.

Can you update your profile and add your location?
If you are in a cold location, then with a weak battery the voltage should be around 14.8 - 15. 14 would suggest a faulty alternator.
Is this reading from the engine bay or the battery at the rear?
Can you scan the car with INPA or ISTA and let us know the error codes?
What does the cluster shows when you experience the issue.
Ideally you can do a video from key in, start then drive and what it shows on your cluster.
