2008 X5 Navigation DVD

I have a 2008 X5 with the original nav dvd. I know the nav in the E70 pretty much sucks but I want to update to the latest maps. All I seem to find is two disc sets. East and West. Is this the only option for the DVD's. The current nav is all on one DVD. Any suggestions?? (other then using a real GPS)

You probably still have the original DVD. At a certain point BMW switched to two DVDs because there was just too much stuff for one single DVD.

The latest and last update for the CCC (the name of the infotainment system you have) is 2015 which is made of 2 DVDs. You can find them around, but I've also mirrored them in my Google Drive -> https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...ndsYll1NExReDA

It's an ISO file that you burn on a DVD. Select the lowest speed. Once done insert in your DVD player and wait some time for the system to clear the cache and reload it.

Again 2015 is the last year that BMW issues map updates for the CCC. It has now discontinued support.

Enjoy!!!!

Similar situation.newbie w/o Nav disk

Recently purchased a 2008 528i sport/prem/nav with 40k miles on it. Lots of questions and needs. First up - it didnít have the CCC nav disk and Iíve been looking around for one. Seems to be a lot of 2015 or older discs on eBay and other sites. Is that the most recent update? Is there a better place to get 2018 discs? Thanks!

I recently updated to the 2015 Maps for CCC for my 2007. I used the East Coast map so if someone wants the West Coast DVD let me know and I can get it shipped to you

Looks like you "missed" the answer to your question that was in post #2.

See the quote below where the answer is highlighted & bolded.

I know this is an old thread, but it was just what I needed. Recently purchased a 2009 X5 with no Nav dvd. PO lost it, but was unconcerned due to 2015 being latest supported version. Thanks for suggesting Ebay. I looked at other sources and nothing but confusing info. Ebay was spot on. I'm aware they're not latest current, but I can live with that. Thanks again!

Received the DVD's from Ebay - less than $14 including shipping. $13.61 to be exact. Instructions included. Cleaned DVD drive with a cleaning disk 1st, because just not sure how long original was missing. I heard DVD drive reading disk and after 20 min I manually rebooted per instructions. Works like a charm, now. I understand it is not current maps, but it's better than nothing. And really, it'll get me in the ball park. I can use the GPS on my phone if I need more current directions. Link for ordering if needed.
