2013 X3 intake boot to turbocharger

has anyone have this happen to their x3? the black plastic intake boot to turbocharger has broken off at the connector and I spoke with a BMW specialist (not the dealer) and they knew exactly what I talking about and told me that BMW has an updated version of that part because there is high failure rate with it. When I called BMW about it they had no idea if that is the case. I M just wondering if anyone has the piece broken as well.

thanks

If its the charge pipe you're referring to, I have heard of at least a few people having their's blow...

Mine blew under acceleration about 2 years ago. Leaving a stop sign, heard a loud pop, then performance degraded. It was driveable, just not responsive until I had it fixed.

Replace it with a FTP charge pipe. It is metal... not BMW plastic.

And upgrade at the same time with GoFastBits DV+.... and you will have NO turbo lag.
