RaceChip is now premium sponsor of the Bimmerfest community. The German tuner is the world’s leading performance engineering company, specialized in Plug & Play performance upgrades for turbocharged engines. RaceChip increases the performance of your car by up to 30%. The installation of the additional control unit is as easy as 1-2-3 and after removal, the car is in stock condition again.

RaceChip is proud to announce the sponsorship of the Bimmerfest community. We, at RaceChip, want to get in touch with you to further improve our products and services. We are excited to be a part of this community and look forward to your questions and feedback. RaceChip is facing an exciting year 2018 and wants you to be part of it.

How does it work?

In contrast to remapping or flashing the engine control unit (ECU), a RaceChip does not change the software on the ECU. A RaceChip is an additional control unit that is installed in the engine bay between the sensors and the ECU. It is a mini-computer that optimizes the original values of these sensors in real time and sends them to the ECU. Based on these signals, the ECU adapts all relevant parameters and utilizes the power reserves of the engine. Every kind of engine is optimized individually on the RaceChip dyno. Once the RaceChip is installed, it can be further adapted to the driving conditions and the mood of the driver, via fine-tuning. All engine protections mechanisms of the manufacturer remain intact and after removal the car is in stock condition again.

New office in the USA

Founded in 2008 and based in Germany, RaceChip has grown to a global player with over 500,000 products sold and 100 employees in Stuttgart, Munich and Shanghai. The product range has been completely renewed and taken to a new level in late 2017 and now RaceChip is ready to face new challenges - the expansion into the US market.

RaceChip just founded RaceChip Americas Inc. and is currently opening an office in California. “With our new company in the US, we are responding to the rapidly growing demand from the US market”, explains Dr. Daniel Appelhoff, CEO at RaceChip Americas Inc., this strategic decision. He adds: “RaceChip is well-known for its high-tech products for German cars, but we also see a lot of potential for Made in Germany tuning products for American cars”.

Next steps

The company’s success is based on the great skills and automotive enthusiasm of the whole team.
Thus, the most important step is building a powerful local US team. RaceChip is looking for high-skilled car enthusiasts with hands-on mentality, who want to build up RaceChip Americas. If this is something you see yourself in, we encourage you to apply for the open positions as:

• Tech Support Specialist USA (m/f): http://jobs.racechip.de/job/technica...ialist-usa-mf/
• Sales & Marketing Representative USA (m/f): http://jobs.racechip.de/job/sales-ma...tative-usa-mf/

So, what is the power potential of your car? Check it now on our website www.racechip.us

I don't get it. The tuning market for chiptuning is already saturated. There are numerous vendors in the US market already from Burger to CPA to DTE. You were in the US and closed shop and are trying a second time now?
My Racechip died , out of warranty of course, and it is a paperweight now.
The plastic has become brittle too. Have to look at some quality product next time. Either DTE or CPA.

Hello Manu550ix,
we were never in the US. There was just an independent reseller distributing RaceChip products in the US. He decided to stop distributing the products after RaceChip Germany decided to systematically improve the offering and the customer service in the US. E.g. now there is not restocking fee anymore and you have a 30 days money back guarantee. Currently, we are setting up our US support.
Please send us a private message with more details about your RaceChip (which one, when did you order it and where).
You won't find a better product anywhere than our new GTS Black. Maybe cheaper solutions, but they are certainly not better. If the market would be saturated and if we would not have a superior product, we would not open an office in California. That would indeed not make sense.
