Sirius XM 'broken' after Nav update 2019-1

For my 2015 740i, I Downloaded a Nav update from a forum member, and installed last night. All went well, but when I left for work this morning, I noticed that while the Satellite Radio option is there, there is only a blank black screen. No way to adjust channels OR any preview channels, etc. I sent a refresh as a long shot, but nothing. The big part is there are NO channels, not even previews.
Anyone experienced this after a Nav update or otherwise? Appreciate any help!

I know when I bought my 09 750li a couple months ago and activated sirius radio I had nothing (no channels) listed. I had to activate service and "refresh" as you did, but even after doing that it took a while, couple hours, before I got service. Had to make sure I was somewhere with a good signal of course before sending the refresh signal.

Can you see your signal strength for sirius?

Hi folks- still looking for help here. After the latest nav update (2019-1), my satellite radio will not function. The option is there, but the screen is black, no way to enter a channel...screen is black with the option buttons on the side. No preview channels or sound of any type.

Had the opposite - first time i've ever done a map update, was playing with voice commands afterwards and asked to play the radio...it switched to sat radio, started playing the stations which it had never done before. Crazy.

I recently did 2019-2 but didn't check Satellite radio, so after reading this post went out and checked - thankfully it's working fine.

would be helpful to list sources that cause problems, as they are somehow corrupted
