2013 f25 35i m-sport - dynamic damper reset?

Our '13 X3 has dynamic dampers and the car seems to have developed pretty poor ride characteristics.

I hadn't driven the car in a while as it's my wife's daily driver. The car has developed a weird "washing machine" feeling ... very weird.

I put the suspension in sport mode and the car felt better but I want to return to comfort mode without the sloshing feeling. I'm sure the stealership will want $5K to replace all of the suspension. :o

Is there a factory reset option hidden somewhere to reset the suspension/dampers?

Thanks LBJGH

Almost certain there is no "reset" anywhere. Have you checked the tires? If they are getting worn they can/will change the personality of the car IMHO.

I've noticed in my BMWs more than any other cars I've had that when the tires wear too much, the vehicle starts tramlining. The first time I experienced it, I thought there was something seriously wrong with my car. Problem went away when I switched my seasonal tires out. Both of my F25s (and my E92) have had this issue

No Reset. How many miles on your X3?

Dynamic dampeners wear out faster than static suspension.

How many miles on current tires?

Are you on RunFlats?

Staggered or square wheel setup?

If the psi is set to spec, I don't think increasing it would improve handling.
Have you bounced on the corner of the vehicle to test the struts/shocks to it it continues to move after releasing it?
Depending on the road conditions the vehicle has been used on, the struts may be worn out? Very $$$ to replace.

If you're coming from a car with a decent suspension, the X3's taller and longer travel suspension will have a more boaty feel.

Take it to a trusted INDY mechanic so they can test/ inspect your suspension.

Might need new bushings and dampeners since vehicle is over 6 yrs.
