MY 2018 F48 BMW X1 Pricing & Ordering Guides

2018 bmw x1 pricing

The 2018 BMW X1 Sports Activity Vehicle

Bimmerfest.com has the 2018 BMW X1 pricing and ordering guides for you. Use the guides to put together an order and connect with the Bimmerfest recommended BMW dealers to place your order. If you're looking for invoice pricing sheets, we no longer have them because of BMW's lawyers but calculating invoice pricing is easy with our guide.

Now in its second generation, the BMW X1 builds on the success of its predecessor (61,974 sold in the US to date) by incorporating a roomier interior, greater efficiency and technology on the forefront of innovation. The second generation takes to the stage with a body design typical of a BMW Sports Activity Vehicle. The BMW X1 xDrive28i is the exclusive model in the US featuring a 2.0-liter TwinTurbo 4-cylinder engine from BMW's new family of modular engines with maximum output of 228 horsepower, making the all new BMW X1 the most powerful entry model in the segment. It will be mounted to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. An efficiency-optimized version of the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system and newly developed chassis technology all help to enhance sporting ability and ride comfort compared to the outgoing model. The all new BMW X1 also showcases its exceptional versatility with increased cargo area and greater interior room with more headroom than before.

Good to see that Carplay has made its way to the X1... Of course, it's a $300 option and requires nav to be ordered.

Also, the backup camera is now indeed standard. Still no blind spot monitoring.

Pricing and packages have been changed
  • Base price is up about $755 to $800 depending on s or x drive.
  • Metallic paint decreases from $700 to $550
  • Tech package no longer available
  • New Convenience Package
  • Premium package changed
  • No more driver assistance plus package - only driver assistance, which includes what driver assistance plus used to include.
  • Park distance control / Parking assistant moved to a separate option
  • Carplay and wireless charging now available as an option
  • 18" Y spoke style 569 wheels no longer an option
  • Sliding bench now requires premium package
  • No charge performance tire option

It looks like the old premium and tech packages were merged and split into the new Convenience and Premium package. The price for both together is basically the same as buying premium and tech before.

Premium now includes the cold weather package, LED lights, HUD and larger nav screen/wheel.

Convenience includes what used to be in the premium package, except for what was previously mentioned above.

I just noticed there isnt an enhanced blutooth/USB option. That option on prior models allowed BMW Office and voice control I believe. I thought enhanced blutooth also allowed streaming of music wirelessly... does the X1 no longer offer that, or is that included now in the "ConnectedDrive Services"?

Wonder if it will be backwards compatible with a 2017 X1 with Nav?

No... MY2017 had iDrive 4.0. MY2018 has iDrive 6. CarPlay is for iDrive 5 and above.

In reality, you are missing nothing. BMW implementation of CarPlay with iDrive is useless.

Just by looking at the order guide I would say NO. The moonroof is included in the Convenience Package and there is no delete option. I guess if you don't want a moonroof, you just don't order the convenience package. The MSport package is exclusive of the convenience package and it does include the moonroof delete option.

To make 100% certain, you should check with a knowledgeable sales person.

Any word on when the 2019 X1 ordering guide will be out? I think they are another year away from a mid-cycle refresh, but thought they might at least add the safety features that are now appearing on practically everything regardless of price.

Following up on that question: are there any news regarding MY19 X1?
