CD Player Assembly Replacement

Like most aged CD players my 10 year old radio is having a hard time reading CDs. I understand this problem is typically due to a degradation with time of laser output and not so much by a dirty lens. There is a seemingly effective and relatively easy to implement fix that bumps up the pot on the side of the laser assembly. However, I also read a replacement CD assembly (cartridge) is only about $40. I would rather spend $40 or so and replace the assembly with a new part than fix it. Anyone know who sells these assemblies?
