Reset maintenance mileage/calendar?

I've Googled this to death and can only find instructions for the pre-2016 model X1s.

How does one go in and change the mileage/date reminder for an oil change on this thing? I saw them do it on my 320i once, and it used the screen in the center of the dash. I didn't see how they got into the menus though.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

I think I had to use ISTA to reset mine when I changed the oil.

I can't remember if that's how I cleared it or not. If it wasn't that, I may have just held down the trip reset button when the dash display was on the service message.

1. Press the Start/Stop button once (do not start the engine)
2. Press and hold the Set/Reset button for 10 seconds until the service indicator light appears. Press the Set/Reset button repeatedly to scroll the Service Menu.
3. If a reset is possible, ‘Reset possible’ will be displayed. Press the Set/Reset button for 3 seconds to start the reset.
4. Confirm 'Reset?' by pressing the Set/Reset button for 3 seconds. A progress bar will be displayed with 'Reset in progress'.
5. The reset is confirmed by displaying 'Reset successful'.
6. Turn the ignition off. Start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

I've seen that posted before but only for pre-2016 models.

I also want to change the oil change date, don't think that will do it. When I had my 320i and they messed up the date, I saw the guy do it by using the big screen in the middle of the dash and the iDrive wheel. Nothing else hooked up to the car. There must be a secret combination of keystrokes on iDrive to get into that menu?

Au contraire...I just did the procedure that I described earlier in this thread on my 2017 F48 X1. See the results below:
