Fluid dripping when i start the car

Like a few minutes ago i started my car, put it reverse and started reversing and i noticed something is dripping, the AC wasnt on. It rained today but there is no way that could be related to the issue since it happened alot on sunny days too i wanted to make a post about this but i just kept forgetting
Im not sure whether its water or oil since i didnt take a closer look at it

Should i be worried or is this normal?

Chances are it's water but you need to confirm. Next time you backup and see fluid park your car and do the following:

1. Put a finger in the fluid and then rub the finger with the fluid against your thumb. Does it feel wet like water and there is some drag on your fingers when you rub them? If so it likely water and no big deal.

2. If you think it's water do a sniff test of you fingers. No smell it water. If you pick up a sweet smell it could be antifreeze. If that the case keep an eye on your cooling system to see if you have leaks or your coolant level drops in the reservoir.

3. You rub your fingers and the fluid feels very slick and or you see a color or residue on your fingers. If so that means you have some type of oil or other lubricant leak. This could be something very simple such as a faulty drain plug crush washer or some other gasket that may have a minor leak.

Hope that helps.

I checked it today and it seems like its water nothing sticky, just normal water with no smell to it, so that means nothing is wrong with the car?
