Euro Delivery paperwork timing

Can anyone tell me what lead time is required? I am scheduled for delivery on May 6th and leave for Munich on the 3rd. Would it be possible to wait till May 1st to see if the Finance/Residual numbers get better?

It's OK to sign your paperwork the day that you leave for Munich.

Just to be safe you might want to check this with your sales manager.

Better check the VIN. Lol

My CA tells me that we need to complete paperwork by the 24th. When are you doing your paperwork?

There are many different answers to this question, just remember the day you sign the paperwork is the day your lease starts (if you are leasing.) My dealership wanted us to finalize the paperwork 2 weeks before delivery date.

This is sale manager dependent, as my last 2 ED's have been post-dated days in advance to coincide with ED pick-up date, as paper work was signed prior to EU departure and upfront payment. I see no problem waiting for the May 2019 program, but as the Fed has held interest rates, don't expect the MF to change or BMW FS to change the residual.

Thanks for your input Ibiza. I spoke to my CA yesterday and he insisted that BMW(NA, FS, AG?) said it was a requirement. Don't really believe him as he also(incorrectly) tried telling me a few weeks ago that I needed to secure insurance prior to the trip. Unfortunately there has been some turnover at the dealership in the last few years including recent Sales Manager change. Matter of fact, they use to have one of the best CAs specializing in ED(Joern Esser) but he got out of the business a few years ago. (He told me that BMW AG invoices the dealer at the two week mark (could be why they want contract signed at that point)).

I will give the GM a call tomorrow and get his opinion. The biggest pain has been dealing with their lack of experience with ED. I bought several cars from Joern, bummer that I didn't do ED on those.

It really isn't a big deal but I would be disappointed if they raised the RV. Like you said, I don't think the MF will get better either.

Dealership is being really cheap, as when are dealerships invoiced for local center and PCD? Too bad this is happening to you, as your CA is making a gutted incentive ED experience now a piss poor experience, eschpeially for a F90. I'm sure that payment terms is net 30 from center to BMW ED special sales department.

What is Singapore Gray? I never thought as Singapore as being grey though there are times of the year that there are intentional fires in Indonesia to clear brush and that makes Singapore really smokey.
