Engine Ground Strap part #

On a 95 M3, what is the part # for the engine ground strap that runs from the passenger side of the motor near the bottom of the motor and connects to the chassis?

I am trying to eliminate possible hard start factors. But, the car starts 100% and quickly while popping the clutch in 2nd gear.

I think this just might be the part number that you are looking for: BMW 12421737755
and it's available here (among other vendors):
https://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/146...m-12421737755/
But for that price I'd be tempted to make my own custom fit.

I think that is the one for the battery. The ground strap I am looking for is braided.

RealOEM.com. "Older models such as the E36 can be found in the Classic section." Enter with y our VIN-7, search or drill down.

Thanks. realoem.com was somewhat helpful. However, I still cannot confirm if that is the correct part.

Also, I did not find it possible to purchase from that website. For example, no shopping cart or checkout or Paypal options.

Could someone who knows please chime in? Thanks.

Thatís not what RealOEM is or how things work. Find the BMW part number on RealOEM, it is quite official. Copy that part number into a general purpose search engine and you may get hits of retailers with that part number. It may help to prepend BMW to the part number.

That part number 12421737755 IS a braided cable. It is 380mm long (about 15 inches). Pretty good chance that's what you're looking for, and you can find them for a lot less than $46.
