F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

2020 M240I Inventory Low

Any one know why the dealer in stock inventory is so low in the US this time of year for the M240i?

Because they don't sell that well. My dealer doesn't really stock the 2 series in general anymore.

Just curious - Why wouldn't you purchase one again? I love mine and am considering trading up to newer model year.

I'm of the same mindset also. The 2'er is a nice car, but after owning one, I'd like to try something different when I trade (or may decide to keep the car long term).

A possibility (if staying w/ BMW) would be a 340i or 440i. Comes down to wanting to sample something different than what I am currently driving. The 2'er is pretty limited w/ options and interior color (meaning all you get are the seats and some color on the doors). Moving up one line gives you more color and more options.

Some other intriguing alternatives for me are the Tesla Model 3, 2020 C8 Corvette, 2020 Supra, Porsche Cayman.

Nothing wrong w/ the 2 series at all. But for me, if I'm going to trade, I'd like something different so I feel like I actually bought a"new" car.
