Not having driven either, the Macan looks nicer.

That's why I keep Frau Putzer's car clean and waxed... so she doesn't want a new one.

I have an X2 M35, it is a blast to drive. I like the looks, seats are great, very fast (even for an SUV/SAV) not real popular in these parts. certainly worth a test drive

Macan is nicer. X2 will be MUCH cheaper to buy and maintain.

Honestly I really like the car. I cam out of a 335 x with a stick otherwise a base model 2013.

The car is quicker, handles better, steering seems tighter. I have never been on a track or had advanced driving lessons so my opinion is based on almost 50 years of driving. Mostly stick shifts, a few fast cars firebird, acura legend GS coupe, mazda MX6 GT, volvo S70 T5

I haven't put a ton in the back. I had a few large boxes and had to remove the rear package cover (very easy to do). With the ability to fold down the seats it should swallow most stuff.

I really enjoy the car, comfortable, fast and I can firm it up with the dynamic damper control (although to be fair while I notice a difference it isn't huge based on my butt dyno)

Mrs. Rounderman doesn't hate it either.I friend just got a WRX and his wife hates to be in it (too stiff and uncomfortable and we are similar vintage)

regrets about the car idrive 6 instead of 7 and no blind spot sensor. Otherwise I am really happy. I leased it and most days I wish I bought it

so in a nutshell I really like the car, go drive one but don't blame me if you buy it
