Digital cockpit and NBT ID6 for 2012 550 gt purchase

Going to order the NBT id6 and digital cockpit for my 2012 550 gt, the nbt id6 will come with the head unit, lcd display and the touch pad control unit(with CarPlay support). the digital cockpit set will compatible with those come with original HUD display.

Everything gonna cost me $4500 with all the hardware they will assist me to do the remote coding. I wanna know if it is a good price? Click image for larger version

It's certainly cheaper than buying a new car. You'll probably get better answers in the Coding and Programming forum...however I'd say it's a good price. If you were to buy just the head unit and CID via BMW it will probably be right around that price without connecting cables, no install assist, etc.

On top of that, I don't know if BMW will put up a fight to sell the head unit to you based on the notes regarding defective unit and/or stolen replacement.

If you go for it, please document and post results. It would be interesting to see.

was hoping for an update on this and to add a question - is there anyway to add Apple Carplay with a new radio unit or secondary screen for less cost than $4500?
