Wink Anyone Experience there rear sunshade making occasional noise

So form quick looks of this this forum doesn't have the popularity that the E66 page had , im assuming as the car price falls to more affordable brackets will start getting more members.

So i own an F06 2016 640i Fully equipped m-sport. i noticed when i had purchased the car that it would make a SMALL sounds very rarely ... first i thought it was something in the suspension but i verified all my links and arms and bushings.... later on since it wasnt a big deal i ignored it and one day noticed that the sound wouldnt come if the sunshade was open in the rear..... but the sound would appear if it was closed.... my theory is the sun shade rack is loose not i wish i would be able to find a diagram that could show me how its assembled... as i really dont want to start taking apart random interior pieces in an effort to fix a slight noise that appears only when the sun shade is closed.

Thats about it , so far the car is doing well ... bought it at 40,000 km 1 year and a half and so far did about 10,000km's , its not my daily and is usually garaged .

I know a few F06 owners have experienced the same noise from my post on the F06 facebook group which is also sort of dead .

I experienced the exact same thing. I usually leave it up, however, I noticed recently that it makes no sound when its down.

I would really like to take it apart lol to see how it works , but then again i dont want to break it , im not even sure how to access it , even a visual inspection might be good enough , it feel like a bolt is loose and literally thats it

My rear driver side makes a weird clicking noise for like 5 seconds sometimes. It still works though.

Mine pops when up and I've always assumed it was related to the flex of the car.

Red face

Its definitely not a flex of the car lol we dont drive Kia's , it seems some F06 models are effected with a loose rear windshield shade frame. I haven't had any time to dig into this as im stuck working on the wife's Q5 3 wheels bearing and a complete brake job just sucks lol too many things not much time + work obviously that keeps everyone busy
