Tpms

Hello
My TPMS warning is constantly on.
I bought my 2010 E61 in November 2017. There were aftermarket Kosei rims on the car and the OEM style 277's had snows mounted on them. The private seller told me that she never installed sending units on the Kosei rims so she ignored the light. Later, when I swapped to the snows on the OEM rims, I was surprised to see the TPMS light still on. Fast forward, I just took off my snows yesterday, and will be doing new tires in a few thousand miles and would like to remedy the TPMS. As I study, I understand that the error could be in weak battery sending units on each rim stem, it could be a problem with the sending units, it could be coding along the way. Is there anything I can do prior to installing new TPMS sending units on these aftermarket rims only to have it not work anyway? There are not codes.

Thank you for looking. I appreciate any knowledge, experience or opinion that you want to share.

best regards
M.A.

Did you reset the TPMS sensors on the iDrive for the snow tires w/ the original TPMS?

If you want to eliminate the warning light, you will need to purchase new TPMSs for the Kosei rims.
