Open Hood to a 90 Degree Angle

Hi all,

Anyone know if a way to open the F01/02 hood in a way similar to the 90 degree angle the W140 Mercedes S-Class hood was able to be?

I took a look at the hinge, but couldn’t figure it out.

Thank you very much.

Try searching for the hood service position on the https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/ website. Enter the last 7 digits of your VIN then type (or copy and paste) something like "Service position of engine compartment lid" into the search box.

Good luck.

Just take the struts loose, & prop it up into the service position.
