Brand New Diesel X5

I leased a BMW X5 Diesel yesterday.
Traded in a BMW i3.
Loved the i3, hard to take trips in it.

Any suggestions for the X5?

Such as coding the software?

Oh "traded" as in 'owned it'??

minorly interested in how bad the trade in value was....

Yeah, go get it coded.

OE is Original Equipment aka 'BMW Original Parts' aka 'What you buy at the BMW dealer with a BMW label'

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer... EITHER the company that made the OE part or.... A part this is identical to the OE part, but is sold by the OEM under their own label

OEM is not what BMW sells

Traded an i3

ard

I had leased the i3 for three years.

The dealer took back the i3 and I leased a X5.
It was a bit expensive.
But I thought that the dealer did a fair deal.

We lost our Diesel Touareg to the VW emission cheating scandal.
it was a 2012 Touareg TDI.
The best car that I have ever owned.

Fifth BMW.
Loved the i3.
But, my sife said, "that we had too many cars."

I recently got a 2017 i3, incredible lease deal. Incentives $$ to buy were much higher, but leasing was better option. Lease manager told me they get 2-3 yr lease returns on the i3 and BMW gives them crazy options to buy it and they always say NO WAY, they are impossible to resell even when BMW tries to give them it for $15k with 25-30k miles.

The residual on my $56k i3 REX is just under $34k after a 2yr 15k mile/yr lease, think it was under $25k after 3yrs.

I tried to lease a 2015 or 16 for my daughter, would have been $125 a month for a i3, 2 year, 10k. 70% residual at the time!!! There were leases lower than that. She was too slow, all were gone the week of thanksgiving

OP said "trade in" hence my question....
