Get an M5 differential with final drive ratio of 3.62... The bonus is that it's a limited slip differential. You will have to research what else you need to fit the M5 diff on your 550i as I don't think it's just a simple swap.

I have research and too many parts i need for m5 diff swap...and 3.62 is too low ratio..
I need 3.73 or 3.91...
On e63 series forum i have read that e63 550i easy bolt on with no modification diff e53 x5 4.8i...
So my question is can i use x5 diff? E63 650i and e60 550i, do they have the same diff? If they have i can use x5 diff...can somebody confirm this?
