Oh boy, beauty. Imola/Caramel - doesn't get much better.. Missing a few things which always puzzles me. I'm ordering a Dinan'd-out M5 in 2002, I get M-Audio, PDC and Shades. I don't delete the spoiler either.

Absolutely. Did you see that Dinan receipt? Over $24K after buying the car!

It will be. The current E39 M5 record holders on BaT are full S3s that went for over $70K, with a lot fewer miles than this one. Following those at roughly the $50K threshold are mint, super low stockers.

Owner seems knowledgeable and responsive. For grins I'll predict this car ends up right at that threshold, either just below or just above the $50K line.

I think $50k is spot on. This one isn't mint (looks like it was keyed) but it's in really good shape and Imola/Caramel is hard to find. Heck, you don't see Caramel interiors with Caramel mats much as they don't make them, probably original mats and uses the winter mats appropriately.

I was low - $40K and change to it, plus BaT commish of course. That's a pretty good deal IMO:

Haven't updated this in a while, some interesting E39 offering live on BaT"

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-bmw-m5-81/

God I hate AC Schnitzer crap, but a really rare and beautiful car minus the side skirts and diffuser.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2003-bmw-m5-61/

Nicely done, 2003 Imola - very rare, if it had caramel would be the balls.

I don't know what I despise more, the "Racing Dynamics" side skirts or the friggin honda civic wing spoiler.

1st one is ok, not a big fan of white cars.

2nd one is beautiful, but I don't like the wheels.

3rd one needs to be shot.

4th one...no doubt a time capsule. Would love to have it.

And last is not bad, I just don't like that silverstone interior.

It has a certain charm. It's definitely trying extremely hard, with mixed results. But, I guess that's how they did it 22 years ago!

For me, the worst part of it is the engine cover. It is an assault on the senses. But the roundel replacements and the literal plaque on the radio cover -- I mean, that is just too much, it's so bad it's good

Strokin' 100cc from each cylinder isn't bad either. Those are pretty darn good numbers for a 22-year old executive sedan!

Ha! I missed the radio cover badge. Definitely trying too hard. That said, the owner does all this body work and badging crap, and they don't put on an M steering wheel.

The owner didn't do the bodywork and badging, Racing Dynamics did...many, many years ago

Some interesting results. Look's like that Racing Dynamics Dude thought his car was worth more than it is.

He ALWAYS thought it was worth more. It was on AT for a while, then sat on Manheim for years until BAT.

14k miles, Euro 2001 M5. Interesting, Euro spec no NAV and no subwoofers with DSP.

As I prepare my flame suit, I say a US spec is better.

Only neat thing is the floating rotors, trunk, dash, and armrest. Otherwise the car was federalized to US standards with the exception of the lower dash.

We're so spoiled with out US M5 basic specs

No flames! No judgement from me for sure. 14k miles is crazy though.

Doesn't get much better than this, save for a caramel interior:
