What's a 2006 M3 6 speed conv. with 45K miles worth?

This might sound like a hypothetical question, but it's actually very real. After patiently looking for six months, about ten years ago I purchased a CPO'd 2006 M3 convertible Carbon Metallic Black on black 6 speed 19" wheels from BMW in Nashville and had it shipped to Los Angeles. As far as options, no NAV or rear bumper parking sensors, but guessing that doesn't matter either way. Can't remember if there were any other options on this model. When I bought the car, it had 23K miles and now it's got 45K miles. Tires have 5K-10K miles on them, oil changed every six months, and besides a couple repairs right after I bought it while still under the CPO warranty, no other repairs since buying it other than a sticky glove box latch. Body, interior and wheels are near immaculate other than scratches under one corner of the front bumper and minor curb rash on one passenger side wheel, and it's never been in an accident. I have all booklets and the paperwork from when the car was purchased by its first owner as well as all of my service records. The car has always been a weekend only car and garaged at all times, and I probably put only a couple thousand miles on it in the last few years. Unfortunately, I no longer have the garage space to store it, so now I need to sell it. I was going to list it on bringatrailer.com, but now a good friend wants to buy it. We are trying to figure out what is a fair price for both of us. Unfortunately, there isn't a good comp of a sale in the last year on bringatrailer with similar details. So I've looked at sales of models from 2004-2006 with 35K-50K miles, excluding SMG's and Competition packages. There are a couple sales that appear exceedingly low (less than $18k) and others that are seemingly high ($35K) for the specifics of those cars, but I would imagine it's worth somewhere in the $20K's, but that's still a wide range.

So now I'm curious to hear what you think the car is worth since you are the only other objective valuation method that I can think of. I realize the car is not Laguna Seca Blue, but does it get a premium for black on black? Does the car take a hit for being a convertible instead of coupe? Any other factors to consider? Thoughts???

Also, if anyone has a cheaper alternative than paying $250 per key to a dealer for replacing keys with dead keys, please let me know. I bought new batteries and followed a youtube DYI video, but the keys still don't work.

Do you think this is a reasonable comp?

18-22k, the high side due to the low miles. Vert hurts resale, 6MT helps.

20k is a natural price barrier between the normal M3s and the nice M3s, before you get into the stratosphere of high-end examples.

If yours is in great shape you can do well. Put it on autotrader. You can also try the classifieds on e46fanatics and m3forum, but enthusiasts are tough on verts.
