Finally Got It! Bimmergeeks ODB????

After impatiently waiting for my cousin to sell me her car(she was waiting on delivery of a new one) I finally have my first Bimmer! Allow me to reintroduce her. Shes a 2008 328xi with a six speed in Arctic Metallic (see pic). 133k, well maintained highway miles. Her she is kissed by the morning dew.Aint she cute?
I've never driven a car so responsive ! She zipped in and out of traffic like a car racing the LeMans course.i cant believe how powerful that e90 is!
Shes been running on regular wich will sease starting with the next fill-up. Going to get a Bimmergeeks odb reader and software. Not sure if I should get the Expert edition. I'm not mechanically inclined and I don't know if I'm going to be using it to the extent that I need the more expensive($85 vs $44) expert edition. Anyone know the difference between the two? Will I be able to use it for use with ISTA ,or is it for Bimmergeeks software exclusively? Anyone who has experience with them, I'd greatly appreciate your

Congratulations and welcome to the world of Bimmers. My first was a 2008 328xi too, although mine was a Montego blue E92. I've had a Z4, X1, X3, and a 335is since, so it seems that you always want more and more.

^^^ He's right you know.

I started with a 2011 328i x-drive. Now I've got an X1 x-drive, 335i x-drive and am currently hunting for the next one.

It's probably cheaper to take up smoking cigarettes as a habit ?

Anyways, congrats on the purchase ! From the pics, looks like it's in good shape !

As for the Bimmergeeks, I'd personally go with the expert as it's only $41.00 difference, but that's just me and I don't personally have one, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

Your right. Its just my wife(who would have had me buy something witha roomier back seat for my two teenage kids)is already seeing the money ad up . Cheap stuff , but. A ordered can of base coat and artic Metallic spray paint($38) a cheap spoiler(60) , interior LEDs. There will be ramps, oil and filters, torque wrenches and eventually new rubber as its got run flats. I didn't even pay attention to the tread but RFT's are only good for 30,000k maximum. In only paid $3000 for the car so I'm way ahead in the budget department. Just looks bad on the credit card statements. Lol
Thanks
