Problem finding 08 328i bmw sedan water pump fuse

Hey I'm having a hard time finding the water pump fuse inside my ECU fuse box. Every forum I've seen have had a green 30a and I don't even see one in mine. I've done the bleed test and the water pump isn't even coming on. A few months back I had the thermostat and water pump changed and it worked fine but It recently started overheating again. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to Bimmerfest!

I moved your question to the E90/91/92/93 forum (3 Series, 2006-2013) where you should get model-specific help.

Not sure how to figure out the issue.

Only fuse in the E-box under the hood on your 2008 328i is F07 (40A) which powers the VVT Relay (K6319).

There are TWO fuses (on JB/Junction Box fuse panel) related to Coolant Pump Operation on your 2008 328i E90 as shown in the following TIS Schematic. F33 (40A) is battery powered (Terminal "30" above fuse) and provides power to the Coolant Pump Motor. F37 (30A) is Terminal 87-Switched (Terminal "87" above fuse) and provides power to the Thermostat Control and the Coolant Pump Control:

Here is the "Installation Location" for fuses F33 & F37:
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...lim/1VnYmxVJ04

Check both of those fuses & let us know if you still have NO PUMP BLEED ACTIVATION. If you still have no pump activation, let us know if you have ANY Scan Tool (although you will probably need INPA/ISTA or some BMW-specific Scan Tool to read Coolant Pump Codes 2E81 thru 2E85), and if you have a multimeter, and we can suggest further diagnostics. ALSO, please let us know of any work done under hood or in battery area in days before overheating.

George

A common problem is corrosion in the pump connector. It's possible some coolant got into the connector and wasn't cleaned out. Another common fault is the connector wasn't fully locked in place and is now disconnected.
