E39 (1997 - 2003)

Im dealing with a GM tranny on the 528. I'll pull it out tomorrow. Car needs the park brake to hold it in place. Still rolls in park i suspect the input shaft is busted

Proves my point above, vin decoding on realoem have been wrong many times when it comes to the tranny and differential. Especially on Canadian models Another perfect example here that the sticker is the only way to verify the tranny

Pulled the tranny out in my garage. Something snapped internally. Go through all gears and the tranny output dont move. ***x1f926;***x200d;***x2642;***xfe0f;

As stupid as it sounds this happened at a bad time (when is it ever good timing). I have a 4L80E lined up for this car with a L96 for the engine swap. For now i have to fix this tranny before i proceed with the project.
