540i sensor on passenger wishbone?

While fixing my power steering I found a small linkage that broke off some sensor on the passenger side wishbone, is that important? Never had any lights so I'm assuming its not important but what is this?

It is the Xenon Level Arm Adjuster, there is one in front and one in the rear.

That is important, you need to fix it.

It is part of the headlight leveling system. Your headlights will point too low to be much good. Fix it. It's not an expensive part and it's easy to change.

If you put cheap parts on your car, you'll soon have a cheap parts car.

Thanks for posting.
I learned another thing about the car.
I always thought that was for the suspension!

Best,
