Crashed my 1998 540i

Ok I need your help everyone I wrecked my 98 bmw540i the motor and tranny is still good. I found a 98 bmw 528i thata needs motor can I just swap everything from my wrecked 540i into the 528i

Mein Auto: '97 540i 6 speed
BIG job! Transfer front suspension and steering. Trans and diff may need to be changed. Wiring and ECU are different.

that I sold a really nice 540i auto w/ a bad chain/guide for $550. Shoot you can buy running 540i's for under 3k.
