Pulsing Idle

Hi guys, thanks for reading.

I currently am experiencing an odd pulsing idle on a re start (not cold start). It fluctuates between 850-1200 up and down for about 20 seconds then idles normally. Only happens when AC is on.

Car has 71k miles. I ran the RaceChip pro 2 box for over 45k miles, removed it and the idle started happening. Connections were all good. For maintenance purposes I changed both MAPs and cleaned MAFs, vanos solenoids. BMW dealer reviewed and could not find the issue. Plugs, coils less than 10k miles. No vacuum leaks either. Totally stumped on why this occurs.

Seems to be voltage related as the idle does not occur if AC if off and I re start it.

Thanks for any advice.

AC is an extra load on engine, and the computer tries to compensate for the load to keep the idle constant. You might have a dirty idle air control valve.
