Engine repairs E90 318i

After 6 months of topping up the oil on my second hand E90 318i I have just noticed in the service invoice from the dealer that there are 2 serious problems that they failed to tell me about.

Sump Gasket leaking oil
Cover Gasket leaking oil

According to these guys they renewed the timing belt and Head Gasket prior to sale which helped the deal, now I'm stuck with these major repairs 6 months later.

What do you suggest? It's done 67k now so fair enough. I just renewed the alternator few months ago too (I presume that went because of wearing from the old timing belt).

Now I'm looking to get these 2 repairs. What do I do?

I'm based in South London. Is there a garage someone can recommend? What sort of prices am I looking at? Are these something I can do DIY (limited experience here).

Sorry for the long post, want to share my somewhat frustrating experience with you for context!

This is a mostly US board and we had no 4 cylinders here in the e9x
series.

This guy seems to be a UK Guru based in the UK.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice.

Are you saying all US models are 6 cylinder?

Right
All e9x cars from 2006 to around 2012 are 6 cylinders here.
No 320's ,318's in gas or diesel.
And I believe before that to accept for a 318 way back in the 90's
somewhere. Also diesels are not that popular here and all those
were 6's to . Since BMW was sold as a luxury car here we only got
leather and pho leather to for an example.
We did not start getting 4 cylinders till the F series when gas started
getting more expensive here.

Wikepedia has a good timeline on Engines by country.
