Anybody have a Schwaben(Foxwell) scanner?

I bought that scanner 8 months ago and just now realized that it was supposed to come with a mini USB cable and card reader. Called ECS Tuning about replacing it and have yet to hear back from them. I would like to connect to my laptop to read the data I collected.

Anybody recall having the same issue?

Mine came with that mini USB cable and the card reader. Just call Foxwell and ask for them. In the meantime, you can use any USB cable (I don't recall if it's a mico or mini USB). And any TF card reader will work.

The Mini-USB port just powers up the Foxwell and if you select "PC mode" or something like that, it just turns it into a card reader. I'm not sure what good powering up the foxwell does otherwise. You can run their software and update the TF card directly. I don't think mine came with a card reader either.

I use ISTA+ for most things, but I still like having a dedicated reader that I can count on for basic stuff. I had a similar laptop setup for my previous car and when I needed it, huh.. it was no longer connecting to the car - some sort of driver problem.

Thanks for the input.

True to the world we live in, and probably related to the low wholesale cost of the product, ECS decided to send me a new scanner and return label for the old. I have had the scanner for close to a year, so A BIG TWO THUMBS UP FOR ECS TUNING. They exceeded my expectations. I will use them more often in the future.

I plan to remove the missing items from the new scanner and send it back to ECS.
