Hi guys,
It's been a long time here. :)

Is anybody frustrated with rear-view camera image at night? I found license plate light sometimes causes terrible glare (whiteout) in the image.
These codes enable you to control the license plate light while you are engaging the gear selector in position "R".

[REM] MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_OUTPUT Werte=00(off) >> Werte=22(kzl)
[REM] MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_PART_OF_WL not_active >> hard_on
[REM] MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_FUNCTION Werte=0C(bremslicht) >> Werte=0F(rfs)
[REM] MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_PRIORITY Werte=02(priority_2) >> Werte=00(priority_0)
[REM] MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_FIXED_PWM Werte=00(pwm) >> Werte=01(fixed)

To adjust the KZL (license plate light) brightness, change the following value in hex.
[REM] MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_PWM_LEVEL_1 Werte=00(off) >> Werte=00 to 64(100%)

*You may use "UNIVERSAL_3" or above if "UNIVERSAL_2" is allocated for another mapping.

Hello!

Thanks for sharing. I had a t minimum three guys here with a white F11 which are really angry about an unusable rear-view camera at night. The codes are for F20/F30 and I will check now whether the codes are also available for F10/F11.

Nice job! :)
Could you please explain what these codes actually do (code by code)?
Very simple
_OUTPUT = which lighting you would like to code mapping
_FUNCTION = trigger to activate the map
_PRIORITY = 0 means highest priority.

I think I don't need to explain these.
_PART_OF_WL
_FIXED_PWM
_PWM_LEVEL

@Toshi_BMW,
So this will allow you to either increase or decrease the light coming from the license plate lights when backing up -- more if it is too dark or less if you have glare by coding the MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_PWM_LEVEL_1 -- is that correct?

Will that work on my 328i (F30)?

Thank you very much
