E82 / E87 / E88 / F20 1 Series (2008 - 2014)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Mein Auto: 2014 M235i
I had a 2010 123D coupe, and it was a lovely car. I wish I could have brought it back to the US with me. It was also M-Sport. I have an M235i now, and in many ways it was a lateral shift. Certainly more power, speed and better handling. But the feel of the 123D was a little better, and the mileage was spectacular.

M235i should have very similar sport suspension as 123D M-Sport, so I think the handling should be similar
I used to have E46 M3 in US and I can say 123D has very similar feel except the different steering because of the the electric system. M3 had quicker start from stand still 0-60 5 sec, but 123D has better acceleration from 3 gear and up /this should be the higher torque of the twin-turbo diesel/ 123D 0-60 6.8 sec
123D at 3270 lb feels much lighter than E46 M3 at 3415 lb
Turning circle of 123D is superior
Fuel consumption 123D 36/47mpg vs E46 M3 15/22mpg !!!
Looks like with less than half of the fuel used by M3 I get close to M3 feeling and power. This is amazing
