M2/M3/M4 - Rear Sub-Frame Bolt Recall

BMW is conducting a voluntary safety recall for certain Model Year 2015 - 2016 M2, M3 and M4 vehicles. This comes on the heals of the rear differential recall that is still not fully resolved.

This involves the rear sub-frame bolts. When replacing the rear differential, these bolts may have been incorrectly reused instead of using new bolts. As a result, the bolts could loosen over time, which will affect vehicle handling.

In total 66 vehicles that are affected by this recall, check the attached VIN list to see if you're car is affected.

That's a pain. Mine has been fixed and isn't on the list - but it wasn't on the last list initially either!

So are the 2017 models exempted from these recalls?

I ordered a 2017 M4 but it'll take 1 month till I get it. Should I be worried?

My VIN says the car was manufactured on 23-July-2016 But it's not on the list

I just called BMW here in Dubai and gave them my VIN and they told me there is no recall request on my car. I hope I can trust that.

My VIN is not on the list above
