BMW Teases Concept i4 Ahead of Geneva Reveal

BMW is preparing what it calls its first EV Gran Coupe for a debut in Geneva early next month. So of course, they're giving us a quick preview of the car as a tease before the Concept i4 is fully unwrapped.

"The BMW Concept i4 brings electrification to the core of the BMW brand," says Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design. "The design is dynamic, clean and elegant. In short: a perfect BMW that happens to be zero-emission."

All we see is a profile, in a cool poured liquid mercury effect. It looks largely like the 4 Series coupe spy shots we've seen, but, of course, we aren't getting much detail here. Obviously the extra doors make it look longer than the coupe, and we're expecting plenty of i-specific detailing like a lack of grille inside the nose kidneys.

But to see the whole thing, which BMW says "heralds a new era in sheer driving pleasure," you'll need to wait for March 3rd.
