G-Power Tunes M340i to 500+ HP

Tired of waiting for the latest G20 M3 to arrive? BMW and Merc tuner G-Power is boosting the current M340i xDrive to an M-matching 503 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque.

Though the current M340i doesn't exactly disappoint with 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, enough power never really is, is it? So G-Power has made a few different versions of the car to give you a little more power or a lot more power, depending on what you're in the mood for at the moment.

It starts with the GP-420 kit that boosts power to 414 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. That's 420 PS if you're wondering about the name. That bit of power comes from a revised engine calibration and will cost just around $2,000.

If you want more, the GP-470 comes with a tune as well as a new stainless downpipe and a less-restrictive catalytic converter. That one means 464 hp and 479 lb-ft, enough to take the 0-62 mph time down below four seconds.

At the top of the heap, the GP-510 kit pushes the straight-six all the way to 503 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. The modifications here are a bit more extensive, and you'll get a new turbocharger with larger wheels and larger housings for more boost.

Evo UK reported the details and said that G-Power claims better throttle response, better torque delivery, and better fuel economy, and while we have no problems believing the first two, that third one seems a bit tricky. And like it will very much depend on your right foot. They'll also give you larger wheels, a louder exhaust, and plenty of other look-fast bits as your heart desires._a__a2_
