BMW is trying to get us in a lather about the next M3, and to get us excited they've teased us with this video of the car hitting the fearsome Nurburgring.

The video reveals that the M3 will be pretty good around a track and will be offered with a choice of rear- or all-wheel-drive.

That's probably the biggest revelation contained within the video, but it's not the only interesting thing. In the video, there's a lot of talk about how BMW worked tirelessly to improve the ABS and stability control to give better response and capability at the limit of grip.

Curiously, it seems like they also tried to eliminate response in the steering.

"We put a lot of effort into eliminating disturbance from the steering system, such as the force generated by friction," says a development driver identified as Peter. "It's a big task, but once we achieve it the result will be a vehicle that's very easy to drive."
