The M2 is available in 4 exterior colors as production starts to hit the April 19th on sale date. Vote in the poll above on which color is your favorite. More colors are sure to follow as production continues, is there a color you'd love to see the M2 in?

About the BMW M2
The new BMW M2 is the latest sports coupe in a long line of legendary road and racing BMWs, such as the 2002 Turbo, E30 M3 and 1M Coupé. Cast in a similar mold, it brings the concept right up to date with the latest in motor sport derived technology. The result is a powerful performer that delivers genuine driver satisfaction on the road, and extreme capability on the racing circuit. Powered by a new, specifically developed, 3.0-litre straight-six engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the latest product from BMW produces a formidable 370 hp. When equipped with the optional seven-speed M DCT gearbox, the M2 can sprint from rest to 62mph in just 4.3 seconds. The BMW M2 will be available at authorized BMW centers starting April 19th.

All of my cars are non-metallic white, because:

a. It doesn't fade. White is the anti-red.
b. It stays cooler in Floriduh, so the clear coat doesn't get burned off by the sun. I friend has black cars, and really takes car of them. But, the clear coat still burns after seven or eight years down here.
c. Old people can see me at night and in low-light daytime conditions (dawn, dusk, rain). I had a brown car in the 1970's and I was invisible. I invented daytime running lights (turning my headlight on all the time) just to not have any more wrecks with that car.
d. Body shops stand a better chance of matching white and non-metallic.
e. Non-metallic colors shine, where metallic colors only luster. (But, the luster makes swirls less visible.)
f. I like white.
g. I like savings the money ($550).

I've walked out of showrooms because a car didn't come in non-metallic white. That was before the Interweb's, though. With the Interwebs, I don't have to waste my time going in the showrooms in the first place. If BMW wants me to buy and M4 (or a 911) instead, drop Alpine Weiss III (300) and that will do it. I'm not alone. For a while both BMW and M-B dropped non-metallic white from their big cars. They brought it back, though.

I vote for the white. Looks great....easy to keep looking clean....doesn't show dirt....

I never pay extra for paint colors either. ;)

Black Sand Metallic for me. I think the M2 overall is a tad too aggressive for me. The function over form front fangs, the out of place rear reflectors, the slightly bulbous shape. Those all flow more gracefully in a slimming black number. Probably would black out the rear reflectors anyway, but I think they don't look horrible on black.

I already placed my order for Long Beach Blue with the 6MT.I think the M2 looks best in LBB because it really shows the aggressive design of the car.I like Alpine White but it hides the awesome design of the fender flares on the car.I am getting there first M2 and it is supposed to be February production, with delivery in April.

This is an incredible looking pic of an M2 in Long Beach Blue.

I decided to change my M2 order to Alpine White after I went to BMW Canada this week and took a look at both colors, outside in the parking lot.

LBB in pictures looks like Estoril Blue but it is actually a turquoise color, when you see it outside in the natural sunlight.I just wouldn't be happy with the color.

The Alpine White M2 looked fantastic.

Here are some pics.

Changing the subject a bit, I love my coral red interior in my 228, but dislike the black leather in my 428. It's like being a cave compared to the CR 228! So I am hoping for some other interior choices by the time I order my LBB M2.

I reserved my spot on the wait list for an M2...likely April production. Trying to decide if I want to pony up the $5k extra and get an individual color. I've had 3 E92s in Le Mans Blue and absolutely love the color. For me no other blue compares, but not sure a color is something I really value at $5k. I'm buying this time and not leasing so I'm at least giving thought to it, but very hard to justify that much money for a color.
